Kitchen Tips with O&P

Springtime is an Organize & Prioritize favorite! Fresh + clean smells, a light breeze coming through an open window, it’s the perfect time to freshen up your kitchen with some O&P tips!

Our organizers have created a list of ways to bring functionality in your kitchen and make it look good in the process.

Follow along to hear our expert tips!!

Does it seem that you have more tumbler cups than lids? Maybe it’s time to part with the spaghetti stained Tupperware (you know what I’m talking about). And everyone should know better than to have ~two~ drawers full of dish towels…right?!

If you felt personally attacked by any of the statements above, then we got you here just in time! Our organizers are knowledgeable about tips and tricks for any space in your home, but they especially love to cater to the kitchen. This is the space that tends to bring everyone together- who wouldn’t want it to be functional AND beautiful?

Cups, and lids, and water bottles…oh my!

When talking about cups, water bottles, lids, and/or yeti cups (does not include glassware) our team always suggests editing regularly. Even if your cups aren’t old, but you realize you have enough for your entire neighborhood…then you need to toss some out! Doing this on a regular basis will keep your Newk’s cups collection down to a minimum.

“Wait, how long have you had this? 8 years? And it’s never been out of the box? Yeah, girl let’s donate it…”

Did you receive a serving piece or an appliance that is still in its box from your wedding registry 8 years ago? It is time to donate, sis!

Chandler, our lead organizer, recommends donating any item that hasn’t left its originally packing 2+ years later. This includes anything you have purchased or received as a gift!

Dish towel purge!!!

Did you know that you should be using one of your SMALLEST kitchen drawers for your dish towels? If you are taking up a deep drawer OR more than a single drawer these tips will help you simplify your dish towel collection!

If you have any of the following holiday towels currently in your drawer they need to be relocated: Christmas, Valentine’s Day, Halloween, Thanksgiving/Fall (ok you get the point).

Bonus tip: If you have towels with holes / stains on them you can toss them out or move them to the designated "Cleaning Towels” basket.

Did you think that was all we had for you guys? You should know us better than that!

Of course, organizing and simplifying is our specialty, but did you know we have a secret ingredient to enhance the look of your kitchen? Having everything in its place will take your space from ~drab to fab~ faster than you can say “Organize & Prioritize”!

But adding aesthetically appealing storage options, matching utensils, and coordinating cookware will take your kitchen from fab…to FABULOUS!

Secret Ingredient #1: Matching Food Storage

Matching food storage or Tupperware will not only stack easier in your cabinets or drawers, but it cleans up the overall look of this space!

Owner and lead organizer, Chandler shared her favorite glass food storage containers from Amazon! All you have to do is click here to purchase — yeah, it’s that easy!

Secret Ingredient #2: Utensils That Match

Out with the old and in with the new! It can seem as if a drawer is cluttered due to the utensils being different colors, brands, etc. Keep this from happening by purchasing matching utensils. This will help your kitchen remain updated and sleek!

OXO brand is our go-to that we recommend to our clients and followers. Purchase them today to help simply your space!

Secret Ingredient #3: Coordinating Cookware

Our team is always researching the best brands for the spaces we transform!

Pots and pans are frequently used in your kitchen (if you cook often). There is nothing more annoying than a skillet rusting or breaking!

We have found two brands that we love and want to share! First up is the Carraway Cookware Set (pictured above) found at theconatinerstore.com. If you are wanting to invest in your cookware to ensure it lasts, then the Le Creuset is for you! Visit their website to browse the variety of pieces that they have available.

Sharing tips + tricks with our readers, clients, and followers is a part of the job we’ll never get tired of! Need tips on other spaces, too? Head over to Instagram, search @organize_prioritize, and click that [Follow] button to get access to all O&P’s secret ingredients!
